Let Peace Rule

Have you been praying that God will let you know whether a certain action you want to take is agreeable to His will or not? Let this peace of Christ be your guide. Let it help you settle the issue. If you start to take that action and you realize you don’t have peace about it, don’t do it.

Hit Him With the Rock

Have you ever thought about David and wondered how a shepherd boy could become a man after God’s own heart? A man so strong in spirit that God chose him to be king of Israel? I have.

In fact, I asked God about it, and He showed me that revelation was what turned David into such a spiritual powerhouse–revelation that came to him through hours of thinking about the things of God. I imagine the day he wrote Psalm 23 he was just sitting and singing praises to God and meditating on His goodness. Just fellowshipping with Him when suddenly the anointing of the Lord came upon him and he said, “The Lord is my Shepherd!”

Get Yourself Together

When it comes to faith, a lot of believers feel like they have one foot nailed to the ground. No matter how hard they try, they just can’t seem to make any progress.

If you’ll watch them, you can see why. They literally haven’t “gotten themselves together.” One minute they’ll be telling you, “Oh yes, amen, I believe the Word,” and the next minute they’ll be spouting unbelief like it’s going out of style. “I know God says He’ll prosper us, but I’ll tell you what, my business is doing so badly, it’s about to give me ulcers. I can’t sleep at night for worrying.”

Working it Out

by  |  Filed under Resting in Him

Between church, family work and personal time we sometimes get lost in the “daily grind”. Many times past I have found myself forgetting the peace that comes from being obedient to God’s leading, both in His Word and in the “small still voice” that if I truly take the time to listen, I will hear.

Welcome to Living Trouble Free

 by  |  Filed under Featured

It is a common belief that trouble (stress, pressure, trials) is just part of life and is unavoidable. But God’s Word reveals something quite the opposite. God is good and because life comes from God life is supposed to be good.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. — John 14:27

Jesus said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.” –John 10:10

The simple truth is that trouble, persecution and tribulation is part of the curse – just like sin, sickness, poverty and death. According to Galatians 3:13 we have been redeemed from (no longer subject to) the curse.

It is possible to live free from troubles in our world if we know how to operate in our covenant with God. Jesus offers us His peace and the world offers trouble. Chose peace.

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives to I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] –I John 14:27

Living Trouble Free is not something new, it is something renewed. God has always intended for us to live trouble free – it is now time for us to choose to do so.
