Right now, at this very moment, you have hidden within you a treasure that can change the world. A treasure that can change a man’s eternal destiny, that can take him to heaven and save him from hell. A treasure that can turn a person’s poverty into prosperity, his sickness into health, his sorrow into joy.

“Thank You, Lord”

Notice that this scripture instructs us to give thanks in all things, not for all things. When tragedy or temptation strikes, we are not to thank God for them. He is not their author. He’s the One who provides our way of escape from them. And that’s what we’re to thank Him for.

Believe the Love

One day I was walking along a highway through a park praying and I asked a simple question, “Lord, what do You want me to tell Your people?” Without a moment’s hesitation, these words came ringing through my spirit and my mind:

Tell them how much I love them.

They were so filled with love and compassion that it defies words to express it. For days afterward all I could think of was 1 John 4:16. “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.”

Under Your Feet

Even though Satan lost all his authority on this earth the day Jesus rose from the dead, for the past 2,000 years he’s been running around as a spiritual outlaw–continuing to kill, steal from, and destroy all who will let him. But, he’s not going to be able to do that much longer. There’s coming a day when he’s going to be put out of business completely. There’s coming a day when the evil he’s done here on earth will be put totally underfoot by the power of God.

Most believers know that’s true. They’ve shouted and rejoiced over it–but they haven’t really understood how it’s going to happen. They haven’t realized that they are the foot that’s going to trample down the works of the devil!

Welcome to Living Trouble Free

 by  |  Filed under Featured

It is a common belief that trouble (stress, pressure, trials) is just part of life and is unavoidable. But God’s Word reveals something quite the opposite. God is good and because life comes from God life is supposed to be good.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. — John 14:27

Jesus said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.” –John 10:10

The simple truth is that trouble, persecution and tribulation is part of the curse – just like sin, sickness, poverty and death. According to Galatians 3:13 we have been redeemed from (no longer subject to) the curse.

It is possible to live free from troubles in our world if we know how to operate in our covenant with God. Jesus offers us His peace and the world offers trouble. Chose peace.

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives to I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] –I John 14:27

Living Trouble Free is not something new, it is something renewed. God has always intended for us to live trouble free – it is now time for us to choose to do so.
