Your Children Released From Captivity

Jesus has redeemed us from the curse. Many of us have been well taught about that redemption where sin, sickness and poverty in our own lives are concerned. But we often fail to realize that redemption has power over the destruction the devil tries to bring on our children’s lives as well.

Deuteronomy 28 states the curse of the law in verses 16-68. Notice what that curse says about children. “Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand” (verse 32).

Jesus came to take away sin. Do you realize what that means? It means that God, through the blood of Jesus, has so completely done away with the power of sin that you, as a born-again believer, can live as if it never existed. You can step out from under its shadow once and for all.

Don’t Worry!

God is vehemently against worry. Jesus preached against it. Paul preached against it. The whole Bible preaches against worry because it was designed by Satan to produce stress, strain, and death.

Yet many of us still act as if it’s an option, as if we’re free to worry if we want to. But we’re not! Worrying is a sin. It’s one of those things the Word of God directly commands us not to do.

Welcome to Living Trouble Free

 by  |  Filed under Featured

It is a common belief that trouble (stress, pressure, trials) is just part of life and is unavoidable. But God’s Word reveals something quite the opposite. God is good and because life comes from God life is supposed to be good.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. — John 14:27

Jesus said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.” –John 10:10

The simple truth is that trouble, persecution and tribulation is part of the curse – just like sin, sickness, poverty and death. According to Galatians 3:13 we have been redeemed from (no longer subject to) the curse.

It is possible to live free from troubles in our world if we know how to operate in our covenant with God. Jesus offers us His peace and the world offers trouble. Chose peace.

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives to I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] –I John 14:27

Living Trouble Free is not something new, it is something renewed. God has always intended for us to live trouble free – it is now time for us to choose to do so.
