Too many Christian parents today are wasting time worrying about their children.
Years ago, Gloria and I saw the devil trying to get a foothold in our children’s lives, so one weekend we got our concordance and four or five translations of the Bible. We began to search out scriptures and write out agreement prayers concerning them.

When I first learned to cast my cares on the Lord, I was down in south Texas preaching a meeting that nobody was coming to. I’m telling you, people were staying away from that meeting by the thousands; and after a service or two with just the preacher, one or two others and me in attendance, I was starting to sweat it. But the Lord said, “Cast that care on Me,” so I did.

Some people have very low expectations of what God will provide for them materially. They trust Him to feed and clothe them, but they don’t trust Him to feed and clothe them very well!
Somehow they’ve gotten the idea that God’s an old miser who will do little more than put rags on their backs and beans on their tables. But that’s not what Jesus told us. He said in Matthew 6 that God would clothe us better than He clothed Solomon. That one statement alone proves that God wants to do more than just meet our basic needs. He wants to bless us abundantly. I know that from personal experience.
