Living Trouble Free (10-Part Series)

The Nature of God

The Nature of God

God is love. If we want to understand the Word of God, we have to understand the character and nature of the One who gave the Word.

Love is the first thing we need to know about God. It is the foundation, the first of who and what God is and it is the basis of everything He created. Love is what moves Him to do the lovely things He does, and it is His only motivation.

The Love Filter

The Love Filter

The Love Filter is a principle found in the Word of God given to understand the nature of God and is a prerequisite to accurately interpret the Word.

It is an absolute truth that causes deception to be trapped and filtered out of your perception of God.

The Tree of Protection

The Tree of Protection

Let us think about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. I used to think that Adam and his wife did not know the difference between good and evil.

As I began to study the Scripture, I realized that this could not be true. They knew what good was, because they knew God. They experienced the goodness of God through everything He created for them. But, they also had to know what evil was.

God Teaches Us In Good Ways

God Teaches Us In Good Ways

God has an unlimited number of ways with which to teach us; none of them have anything to do with the evil one or the curse. God is good.

He uses facets of His nature and character to teach us. He uses His Word; He uses the Holy Spirit and He uses the five-fold ministry.

Why Do Bad Things Happen

Why Do Bad Things Happen

It is important to know why bad and good things happen. People say, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" This is a good question; one which has an answer. The answer to every question is in the Word of God.

Bad things do not just happen to good people; bad things happen because people make wrong choices.

God Does Not Test Tempt Or Try

God Does Not Test Tempt Or Try

A common misconception about God is that He tests people. The belief is that He tests us so that we can pass the tests; which, somehow, gives God the right to bless us or take us to "the next level."

Some think that He uses this method to see if our love for Him measures up to His standards. This way of thinking is not scriptural.

It Is Not A Test It Is A Covenant

It Is Not A Test It Is A Covenant

Covenant is about cooperation between God and His children. When we show ourselves faithful, God honors us. He tells us what to do and we obey Him. He blesses us because honor is given after faithfulness is shown.

Testing always implies an aspect of doubt. God created us with faith. Not only does He know we have faith, He expects us to use it. To imply that He has to test us to see if we have faith, is to say that God is not who He says He is.

See To It That You Be Not Troubled

See To It That You Be Not Troubled

Trouble comes from sowing to the flesh. Therefore, the trouble we get into is of our own making because we make trouble choices instead righteous ones.

Trouble is not part of God´s plan; it is His will for us to be living days of heaven on earth.

Persecution Is Part of The Curse

Persecution Is Part of The Curse

Persecution comes to steal, kill and destroy. It is evil and it is put into operation by the devil through religious people — those with an insatiable desire to control.

It is not something God requires or expects us to take part in. Persecution seeks out the spiritually weak.

Spiritual Cancer

Spiritual Cancer

Since the time of Lucifer´s fall, there has been the presence of a cancerous spirit. It is an ancient spirit that is rebellious, prideful and never wants to submit to God. Its sole purpose is to corrupt, deceive and lead astray for unjust gain.

The result of continually yielding to this spirit is destruction.
